NHM is expanding - and we’re looking for a Producer / Engineer who is obsessed with details to help us deliver world-class tracks and albums to the biggest brands and labels. With over a decade of history, Northern Hawk Media produce, engineer and master music for some of the world’s most famous brands, agencies, record labels & music publishers - names such as RED BULL, BMG, Life Fitness, Deutsch and Dr. Pepper. Our work can be heard worldwide on F1, BBC, Netflix, Apple, Red Bull TV, MTV, Discovery, and many other outlets.
We value great ears, insightful communication, and rock-solid consistency - but also creativity, curiosity, and personality. This new role will suit a musically literate, technically confident producer / engineer with a passion for details, a rich experience working in production music (ideally) and a history of delivering clear, insightful feedback to both collaborators and clients.

Your every day tasks might include:
- Critical listening and diagnosing issues
- Solving mix issues and repairing audio
- Providing constructive feedback to composers and engineers
- Making judgment calls to achieve the best possible result
- Creating track versions from finalised stems
- Ensuring consistency and accuracy across metadata and audio files
And depending on your background, you might also help with:
- Creating album concepts and shaping ideas into finalised briefs
- Composing and producing new music

What we’re hoping you’ll bring:
- Experience in: Music production, mixing and audio engineering (5+ years)
- Knowledge: Advanced DAW proficiency in Logic Pro and Ableton, Rich musical and technical vocabulary, Strong understanding of music theory, Vast knowledge of musical genres & sub-genres
- Personal: Desire to bring the best out of others and to always respond with friendliness, Obsessive attention to detail, balanced with objectivity, Passion for new musical trends, production methods & engineering techniques, Curiosity, reliability, and a collaborative spirit
And it’d be a bonus for you to bring:
- Experience in: Guiding multi-artist or multi-producer projects toward cohesive albums through written feedback, Spreadsheets, databases, and project management tools (e.g., Airtable), including formulas, Designing or improving databases, interfaces, systems, workflows and in-house tools, Past roles as a ‘Music Supervisor’ or ‘Exec Producer’ at a brand or label, Organising team workloads and priorities, balancing client needs diplomatically
- Knowledge: Deep knowledge of technical & creative best practices in production music and sync, Fluency in music metadata standards and music tagging, Understanding of music copyright intricacies.
- Personal: Broad network across sync, production music, and commercial music, Instinct for knowing who to call on for specific needs
