Role Description

We’re hiring. Part-Time Growth & Operations Assistant.

Northern Goose is looking for someone who enjoys finding opportunities, keeping things organised, and helping a creative business grow.

We’re a strategic content agency based in Newcastle, working with professional sports clubs, charities, brands and membership organisations across the UK.

This isn’t a typical VA role.

I’m looking for someone who can become my right hand. Someone who enjoys research, spotting opportunities, keeping projects moving, and helping generate new business.

The role will start at around 8 to 10 hours per week with the opportunity to grow over time.

What you’ll be doing

  • Researching organisations that are a good fit for Northern Goose.
  • Finding the right decision-makers within those organisations.
  • Building and maintaining prospect lists.
  • Verifying contact information.
  • Updating our CRM and Click Up.
  • Helping prepare outreach emails and Linked In messages.
  • Tracking conversations and follow-ups.
  • General business administration and executive support.
  • Occasionally researching competitors, campaigns and industry trends.

Our ideal clients include

  • Professional sports clubs
  • Football foundations and community trusts
  • National governing bodies
  • Sports brands
  • Charities and non-profit organisations
  • Membership organisations
  • Manufacturers
  • Learning and development businesses

You’ll be a great fit if you

  • Love research and solving problems.
  • Have experience using Linked In Sales Navigator, Apollo, Clay, Hunter or similar tools.
  • Are highly organised and proactive.
  • Have excellent written English.
  • Can work independently and think commercially.
  • Enjoy improving systems and processes.
  • Have experience supporting a founder or small business.

Bonus points if you have experience within sport, marketing, agencies or business development.

This role is about quality, not volume. I’d much rather have 20 brilliant opportunities than 200 average ones.

If you’re interested, send me

  • A short introduction about yourself.
  • A couple of examples of similar work you’ve done.
  • The lead generation tools you use.
  • Why you think you’d be a good fit for Northern Goose.
  • Start: As soon as possible
  • If this sounds like you, I’d love to hear from you.
