What is the job about?
As our Performance & Development Trainer, you will manage the training programme including the design and delivery of outstanding induction material for all new hires ensuring they understand the business values, policies and processes and have the knowledge and skills to start their career with us. You'll support with ongoing performance for our established colleagues to ensure their continued growth and development. This will include analysing performance trends and delivering workshops, working with the coaching team to improve performance, and rolling out new products, services & systems as and when required as well as providing refresher training in areas such as compliance and safety. You will lead on ensuring the environment is a safe and healthy place to be, driving a positive people culture. Although the majority of training will be focused on the sales team, as Performance & Development Trainer you will also carry out inductions for other roles throughout the business and assist service & support teams with their training needs. A large part of the role will be around designing effective training content, upskilling themselves in key areas, delivering top quality training and maintaining training records through management of our LMS system.
What exactly will you do?
- Create and deliver induction training.
- Keep up to date with industry changes and rolling out changes and improvements.
- Create and deliver regular workshops based on business needs, knowledge and skill gaps and hold follow up sessions to monitor improvement and track progress.
- Work as part of a wider People Team to support the growth and success of the Sales operations, liaising with Managers, Operations Directors and the Senior L&D team to formulate action plans to improve revenue.
- Create and maintain training records and implement bespoke training plans that are role specific.
- Use the Learning Management System ensuring that relevant content is created and utilise reporting to ensure training is complete.
- Drive Inclusion & Diversity in everything that you do.
- Report any concerns for culture development, recruitment quality, leadership development and general working environment accordingly.
- Ensure new family member experience is world class.
- Any other duties that are deemed appropriate from time to time.
What we're looking for:
- Training and/or Coaching qualifications (desirable)
- CIPD Qualification and/or Membership (desirable)
- Ability to identify training needs through data analysis.
- Energy Industry experience.
- Proven sales ability.
- Proven history of increasing and developing performance in others.
- Experience delivering induction material to groups of up to 20 people.
- Experience delivering training on a one-to-one basis.
- Knowledge and experience of learning styles and methods.
