The HR Coordinator plays a key role in delivering an efficient, proactive and customer-focused People service across the business. Sitting between the People Administrator and People Advisor, the role provides ownership of core operational HR processes while acting as the first point of contact for managers and employees on day-to-day people matters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their HR career, taking ownership of key operational HR processes while developing towards a People Advisor position.

What exactly will you do?

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR enquiries, providing timely advice and guidance within agreed service levels.
  • Coordinate HR administrative processes across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Own the end-to-end absence administration process, including recording, monitoring and maintaining accurate absence records.
  • Conduct return to work interviews and manage absence trigger processes.
  • Provide first-line guidance and support on routine HR queries, escalating complex matters appropriately.
  • Support People Advisors and Business Partner with employee relations casework including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management.
  • Maintain the integrity of the HRIS, ensuring employee data remains accurate and compliant.

What we’re looking for

  • CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) or working towards.
  • Previous experience in an HR administration or HR coordination role.
  • Experience supporting the employee lifecycle from recruitment through to leaving.
  • Experience maintaining confidential HR records and systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to build positive relationships with managers and colleagues.
