The opportunity As our Bid Writer you will be responsible for producing exceptional quality tender submissions, tailored to the requirements of each individual customer, producing the best possible bid for the Company. In addition, you will proactively manage and secure opportunities whilst collaborating with various departments across the business. What exactly will you do? Managing the end-to-end bid process, specifically within Mid-market. Respond to a variety of bid types including EOIs, RFPs, RFIs and RFQs. Pro-actively search for potential bids that the Company can tender for. Manage inputs from key stakeholders. Engage with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal and Energy Services teams, ensuring buy in at all stages of the bid process. Construct the written proposal – both in terms of content and presentation. Sell the services of the Company, mainly in written form (written portrayal of the company must be to the highest professional standard.) Responsible for ensuring tenders are submitted consistently ahead of the deadlines set. Ensure that tenders and business proposals meet all relevant specifications; are in line with the most recent research available and best practice; and are compliant with client requirements. Any other duties which are deemed appropriate from time to time What we’re looking for Minimum 3 years’ experience within a bidding environment. A good understanding of best practice bidding methodologies. Experience within the energy or utilities sector. Experience of public sector frameworks and consortia purchasing mechanisms. Strong strategic planning abilities. Stakeholder management experience. Experience working for a large Global company in a similar capacity. Demonstrable relevant experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational skillset. Excellent communication skills. Confident at presenting and explaining complex subjects to a variety of audiences. Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint & Other MS Office applications Proven success with management of high-profile tenders. Proactive attitude and ability to be self-sufficient.
