Northern Education Trust (NET) is a charitable education Trust with a good track record for school improvement. The Trust sponsors 30 academies; 17 secondary and 13 primaries across the North of England in fourteen Local Authority regions. Freebrough Academy is looking to appoint a dynamic and forward-thinking Teacher of Technology to join our successful and ambitious school.
The successful applicant will inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering high-quality lessons in Design and Technology and Engineering. You will be committed to hands‑on, practical learning and driven by a determination to secure excellent outcomes for all learners. We are seeking an outstanding classroom practitioner who can motivate, challenge and support students to achieve their full potential.
The ideal candidate will confidently monitor and track progress, set high expectations, and promote strong achievement across D&T. A strong command of subject knowledge, the ability to create a positive and purposeful learning environment, and effective behaviour management skills are essential to ensure a safe, engaging and productive classroom. You will also be responsible for fulfilling wider professional responsibilities and contributing to the success of our alternative provision setting.
