This is a fantastic time to be joining us here at Essa Academy. In January of this year we achieved an exceptionally strong profile, with inspectors ranking its performance as strong across all major areas—including Achievement, Curriculum, Behavior, and Personal Development. We were also commended by the Secretary of State for Education in the top 25% of schools nationally, recognising exceptional academic outcomes achieved by disadvantaged students. In terms of outcomes we are also proud that we are placed within the strong top-tier for attainment and score highly within the similar schools context.

We are highly proud of the positive culture of our academy, where students “flourish” and are proud to attend their school. Leadership of the academy has been recognised as being highly successful at all levels; currently leading teaching and learning through an innovative coaching model, with adaptive, responsive and inclusive techniques that maximise high level outcomes for all. Through high support and high expectations we are looking for a leader who shares our five values of integrity, respect, excellence, positivity and innovation in driving forward the standards in maths and the life chances of our young people.
