Salary Range: SCP 10 – SCP 12 £28,153.00 - £29,071.00 FTE (£23,528.68 - £24,295.89 pro rata salary)
Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment
Working Type: Part Time [35 hours / 39 weeks] (45.942 paid weeks)

Please note:the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

Northern Education Trust, Thorp Academy is looking for a proactive, compassionate, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work within our Alternative Education Centre (ACE) provision.
In this vital role, you will be based directly in the ACE provision, supporting students who require targeted academic, emotional, and social support. You will work closely with individual students and small groups across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering tailored interventions, offering mentoring, and helping students build the skills and resilience required to achieve their GCSEs.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and support teams.
- Adaptability in clarifying instructions, developing supportive resources, and helping students stay focused.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and acceptance for students with special educational needs.
