Salary Range: SCP3 – SCP4 £24,796.00 - £25,185.00 FTE salary (£2,915.00 - £2,961.00 pro rata salary)
Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment
Working Type: Part Time (5 hours per week, 38 working weeks plus 2 days, 45.942 paid weeks)
Hours of Work: 11.45am – 12:45pm, Monday - Friday
Base: Whitecliffe Academy, Mill Ln, Carlin How, Saltburn-By-the-Sea, TS13 4AD
Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent catering and customer service skills.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure that pupils wash their hands before they eat
- Escort pupils to and from the dinner area, as necessary
- Ensure that pupils having a school lunch are in the dining hall at the correct time
- Assist pupils with the return of used plates, trays, cutlery and beakers etc.
- Assist with the cleaning of tables when lunch is finished
- Supervise pupils eating food brought from home, and ensure that all packed-lunch equipment is cleared away after use
- Report to the Business Manager any child whose diet may give rise for concern
- Take charge of groups of children in the playground or the classroom, depending on the weather
- Devise and initiate constructive play opportunities for children when required
- Ensure that children remain within a safe environment, and that they play safely.
- Set suitable behaviour standards in line with academy policy
- Help children acquire social skills
