Responsibilities
- Provide support and expertise with the Director of Subjects.
- Deliver a full and detailed programme of support and development for all staff.
- Lead a comprehensive programme of professional development, including leadership, through the NET Staff College.
- Apply for leadership roles within the Deeps structure and manage a whole school leadership project.
Qualifications
- Honours degree.
- Teaching qualification with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience of teaching, learning and assessment to at least KS3/4, preferably KS5.
- Good understanding of curriculum developments.
- Ability to use a range of teaching and learning strategies.
- Commitment to high standards in all aspects of the academy's work.
- Understanding of Assessment for Learning and ability to embed it within the department.
- Confidence in the use of standard computer packages and in using student level data to raise standards.
- Enthusiasm for your subject and creative problem solving with a willingness to try new approaches.
- Ability to relate to students pleasantly and recognise potential safeguarding issues.
- Effective communication, both orally and in writing, with students and their parents.
- Polite, punctual and reliable manner.
