Northern Education Trust, Thorp Academy is seeking a professional, welcoming, and highly organised Receptionist to deliver an exceptional front-of-house service and vital administrative support to our academy. As the first point of contact for our community, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and warm environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Front of House: Act as the primary point contact for all incoming calls and visitors, ensuring everyone is greeted professionally.
  • Safeguarding & Security: Maintain visitor records, issue appropriate lanyards, and strictly uphold academy child protection and health and safety policies.
  • Administrative Support: Provide direct administrative and typing support to the Vice Principals, manage the academy diary, coordinate hospitality, and handle mail distribution.
  • Operations & Cover: Coordinate two-way radio contact for the Senior Leadership Team, manage lost property, and cover the duties of the Principal's PA during absences.
  • Student Supervision: Assist with the supervision of students within working hours (including before/after school if appropriate).
