Northern Education Trust is seeking reliable individuals to join Dyke House Academy as Exam Invigilators. The primary purpose of this role is to work under the direction of the Data and Examinations Officer to ensure exams are conducted fairly and appropriately. You will play a vital role in maintaining an environment that allows our pupils to perform at their absolute best.

Responsibilities

  • Examination Setup: Assist in preparing venues by laying out stationery, equipment, and papers according to strict procedures.
  • Candidate Support: Direct candidates to their seats, advise them on permitted possessions, and respond to queries in line with regulations.
  • Conduct & Monitoring: Ensure candidates remain quiet and cease disruptive behaviour once inside the venue.
  • Invigilation: Monitor the room during exams, deal with irregularities, and record attendance, late arrivals, or early leavers.
  • Safe Escorting: Supervise candidates during toilet breaks or when they need to leave the venue, ensuring no unauthorized material is consulted.
  • Post-Exam Coordination: Collect and collate exam scripts following strict procedures and ensure students leave the venue quietly.
