Job Summary

Kitchen Assistant – Term‑time only (Permanent).

Part time: 12.5 hours per week, 39 working weeks, Monday – Friday 11.45 – 14.15 at The Blyth Academy, Chase Farm Drive, Blyth, NE24 4JP.

Remuneration

Grade2, SCP4‑5: FTE salary £24,404.00 – £24,790.00, pro‑rata salary £7,284.10 – £7,399.31.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation, handling and storage.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, associated areas and equipment.
  • Support the effective service of food to students, promoting a nutritious and healthy diet.

Requirements

  • Must not be barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
  • Experience with food handling and preparation is desirable.
  • Basic food safety and hygiene knowledge.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and the health and wellbeing of pupils.
