Job Description
- Maintain and update individual training records for all employees.
- Update and manage records for forklift licenses for warehouse employees.
- Arrange re‑training sessions with providers as necessary.
- Update and maintain digitised employee records with ongoing paperwork and contract changes.
- Ensure onboarding of new employees is completed with legally compliant Right to Work Checks.
- Create and update job specification for existing and new roles.
- Update and create policies, complying with current legal legislation.
- Liaise with recruitment agencies to fill job roles.
- Advertise on recruitment websites and shortlist favourable candidates.
- Carry out initial interviews and assessments with Line Manager.
- Conduct induction/onboarding tours of the site factoring in health and safety regulations and legal legislation.
- Obtain references from referees for successful candidates prior to onboarding.
- Prepare and send offer letters and contractual terms and conditions.
- Advise line managers on employee sickness levels or absenteeism issues.
- Conduct and update records of back‑to‑work interviews following absence.
- Track sickness levels of employees.
- Ensure holidays and business trips are booked using correct systems and procedures.
- Be present at interviews/meetings to take notes.
- Manage TMS daily.

Location
Northern Diver (International) Ltd, Appley Lane North, Appley Bridge, Wigan, WN6 9AE. Located just 180 yards from Appley Bridge train station, Northern Diver benefits from excellent public transport links. The train line provides direct access between Manchester and Southport, while buses to Wigan town run every 20 minutes.
Hours
This role is full‑time only and onsite. Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. The position is available for immediate start to the right candidate. The role is welcoming for those seeking a friendly working environment.
Salary
£28,000 per annum. We also offer 23 days of annual leave plus 8 statutory.
