NORTHERN COUNTIES SAFETY GROUP LIMITED is a Health and Safety Consultancy and training provider specializing in construction Health & Safety in the North East. We offer site safety inspections, risk assessments, accident investigations and general H&S advice. Our team consists of four fully qualified Safety Practitioners registered on the HSE\βs OHSCR Consultants Register and as SSIP registered Consultants. We are an accredited CITB, IATP, and PASMA training provider, delivering a range of CITB courses and other specialized training sessions.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Trainee Health And Safety Advisor. The role is a mix of on-site and office work. The Trainee Health And Safety Advisor will be responsible for assisting with safety inspections, conducting risk assessments, participating in accident investigations, and supporting safety training sessions. The role also involves helping with various Health & Safety documentation and compliance tasks. The role is ideal for someone looking for a career change away from a construction trades or management job.
The job includes a company car or car allowance, generous pension scheme and a competitive salary. Training will be provided in the form of a Health and Environmental Technician apprenticeship on day release leading to a level 3 qualification and a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health. Further progression to Diploma level will follow.
Candidate Requirements
- Construction experience is essential, preferably from a trades or management background. Applicants without any construction site experience will not be considered.
- No previous Health and safety experience or qualifications.
- Outgoing personality with good communication skills.
- Good IT skills and literacy is essential.
- The ability to work alone, but also as part of a team when required.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Residing in the North East of England.
- DBS checks will be carried out.
