Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to the efficient operation of the warehouse, including checking incoming goods, packing away goods and equipment maintenance. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse management systems to check in goods
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling and storage
- Perform materials handling tasks, including sorting and organising products
- Conduct basic equipment repair and maintenance as needed
- Utilise forklifts safely for moving heavy items within the warehouse
- Assist in goods receiving processes, verifying quantities and condition of items
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety
- Apply basic math skills for inventory management and order processing
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair is beneficial
- Ability to operate a forklift safely (certification may be required)
- Strong skills in materials handling with attention to detail
- Capability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift
