Join to apply for the Theatre Coordinator – Dermatology role at Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.
The Theatre Coordinator will be based in the Dermatology Department at Altrincham Health and Wellbeing Centre. You will support the administrative and clinical team by managing the theatre waiting list, ensuring patients receive timely appointments for minor procedures, and preparing theatres with the necessary documentation. You will work to ensure 18 week pathways are validated and updated and contribute to a patient-centered booking service.
Main responsibilities
- Manage the theatre waiting list and clinic booking summaries, ensuring appointments are scheduled within targets for routine and urgent cases.
- Coordinate booking appointments using Patient Centre, electronic scanning equipment, and fax machines; liaise with service managers to ensure patients are seen within target dates.
- Receive, process, scan, and forward theatre requests; amend and issue appointments while maintaining a confidential, efficient service.
- Ensure 18 week targets are adhered to and contribute to booking efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service and effective communication with patients and colleagues.
Work pattern
The Theatre desk is open from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
