The Phlebotomy team requires an additional 2 x full time Phlebotomists to support the introduction of a 7-day phlebotomist service, which will cover evenings and weekends. Ensuring that our service users needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care. As a centre of excellence, you will offer a person-centred approach to their independence and wellbeing and go the extra mile to ensure compassionate and personalised patient care. Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.
The main duties of the role will include blood sampling for patients on all acute wards, providing a service to the very busy and demanding blood sampling room, and for patients attending clinics of varying specialties.
Whilst previous phlebotomy experience is an advantage, it is not essential as successful candidates will attend the trust venepuncture training prior to undertaking any practice as arranged with Trust Education Department. Practical assessments will take place in workplace.
