Overview

The newly qualified midwife is responsible for the assessment, implementation and evaluation of clinical care for women, birthing people and babies on the maternity unit. As a newly qualified midwife, you will work in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team ensuring effective care is planned and delivered.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake relevant further study as required for the post and complete preceptorship.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism to ensure the highest standard of care is given to patients in their care.
  • Provide support and supervision to less experienced practitioners, midwives, nurses and students to the trust standards and competencies and to support colleagues in a multi-disciplinary team.
