Contract: 9 months fixed term.
Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician, with good communication and teamwork skills. If you can work under pressure and are keen to develop yourself, we would like to hear from you. We are keen to develop the roles of our technical staff and support their training and progression.
Pre‑registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians registering in 2025 are invited to apply.
Responsibilities
- Dispensing and ward‑based medicines management duties.
- Medication reviews in community settings and clinical trials.
- Recording patient medication history and processing discharges at ward and community level.
- Full dispensary duties.
Expectations
- Outstanding organisational skills, accuracy and speed under pressure.
- Prioritise workload, meet deadlines and deliver high standards in a patient‑focused service.
- Participate in extended hours, late nights, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
Qualifications
- Band 5 position requirements; candidates lacking experience/qualifications will be appointed to Band 4 with expected progression to Band 5.
- Pre‑registration trainee status accepted with 2025 registration date.
