Northern BioStrategies (NBS) is a student-led biotech consulting and analysis firm based in the North of the UK focused on pharma, biotech, and life sciences strategy. We publish written insights, market commentary, and short-form media on major developments shaping the industry. We’re expanding our Communications & Media function and are looking for students to join our Marketing & Media team. This is a voluntary, student role designed to give hands-on experience in professional biotech communications.
What you’ll work on:
- Creating and editing short-form video content around biotech and pharma news
- Turning NBS articles and reports into clean, high-quality posts for LinkedIn and Instagram
- Supporting basic visual design, captions, and formatting for published content
- Helping maintain a consistent, professional brand voice across platforms
- Working closely with the Insights and Market Pulse teams to translate analysis into media
What we’re looking for:
- Strong interest in biotech, pharma, life sciences, or science-driven business
- Clear written communication and good editorial judgement
- Experience with content editing, video trimming, or social media publishing (formal or informal)
- Professional mindset
- Reliability and attention to detail
- Gain real experience in biotech marketing, communications, and strategy media
- Work on serious, public-facing analysis (not mock or internal projects)
- Build a portfolio of published content
- Strong CV signal for consulting, biotech, media, or strategy roles
