NWCare is one of the leading Domiciliary Care Agencies serving the community in healthcare for well over 50 years. We are expanding our service in the Omagh area and are now recruiting a Quality Monitoring Officer.

JOB SUMMARY

To ensure NWCare Service Users receive delivery of care in accordance with company policies and procedures and in line with company Aims and Objectives. He/she is responsible for carrying out quality monitoring, health and safety risk assessments in line with legislation and company Health and Safety Policy, staff monitoring and spot checks on behalf of the company.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To carry out service quality monitoring on behalf of NWCare, including onsite visits and Service User telephone monitoring.
  • To attend Service User reviews and contract monitoring reviews.
  • To follow up and record any issues/complaints that may arise with Service Users or relatives including the referring of complaints to the Registered Manager.
  • To refer all information gathered through monitoring to the Registered Manager for auditing purposes and to make recommendations for improving under‑performance identified, via a monthly quality monitoring report.
  • To monitor staff and Service Users in accordance with quality monitoring schedules and monitoring standards.
  • To carry out Health and Safety risk assessments in line with legislation and company Health and Safety Policy.
  • To promote the Aims and Objectives of NWCare as defined in the company Statement of Purpose.
  • To adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • To maintain the confidentiality of information as per company Confidentiality Policy and GDPR Legislation.
  • To attend Care Management reviews when required.
  • To report to the Registered Manager regarding quality issues or concerns regarding any part of the company systems and processes.
  • To ensure reports, action plans and quality improvement plans are completed and submitted within agreed scheduled times.
  • To participate in performance reviews and development planning.
  • To work in all areas and locations as business needs dictate.
  • To participate in the covering of rotas and hold the on‑call phone as and when required – generous on‑call allowance provided.
  • To provide an element of training and education to implement onsite corrective actions with staff.

QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or above.

Previous experience in monitoring and compliance of quality systems and processes.

Registered with the NI Social Care Council and/or registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council.

Provides evidence of past personal and professional development.

Provides evidence of knowledge of quality assurance systems and RQIA minimum standards.

Competent in Microsoft Office applications.

High standard of accuracy.

Flexible in working hours to respond to business needs.

QCF Level 4/5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Previous experience in the role of Quality Monitoring Officer within healthcare.
