Location: Remote - Manchester, Birmingham, Norwich, Oxfordshire or Plymouth

About the role

We’re seeking Independent End Point Assessors (IEPAs) to join our End Point Assessment team to deliver the Level 4 Sports Coach standard.

This opportunity is ideal if you’re a qualified sports coaching professional who has recent and relevant coaching experience, hold a recognised coaching qualification, and either hold or are working towards a recognised Assessor qualification.

We’re particularly keen to hear from you if you’ve coached within school sport, community sport and physical activity, or high-performance environments, and you’re actively connected to the sector through ongoing professional development and industry engagement.

As an IEPA, you’ll play an integral part in the success of apprentices by supporting them in taking the assessments for their apprenticeship and grading their assessments. This is therefore a great opportunity to use your professional skills and knowledge whilst developing others.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Delivering EPA in line with the Sports Coach standards
  • Utilising NCFE Apprenticeship Services EPA platform to record EPAs and interact with apprentices
  • Attending standardisation events to ensure quality, compliance, and consistency
  • Communicating with apprentices, ITP’s and employers on EPA and grading

We’d love to hear from you if you offer the following:

  • A recognised Assessor qualification or working towards

  • A recognised coaching qualification/s

  • Recent and relevant experience of sports coaching in the last 2 years

  • Have assessed in one or more of the following environments: School pathway, Community sport and physical activity pathway and / or High-performance pathway

  • A full, clean driving licence and have flexibility to travel across your area for F2F assessment delivery

  • Current contacts within the sports coaching industry, to show that you are maintaining hands on practical CPD as a sports coach

  • Excellent IT skills and be competent with using systems such as Teams, Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite
