Job Summary: Due to continued service expansion, NWCare is seeking a Peripatetic Training Facilitator to ensure our Service Users receive care that meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and person-centered delivery. You will act as a guardian of company policy and legislative compliance. Based out of one branch, you will travel to various locations to deliver training, conduct health and safety risk assessments, and perform quality monitoring and staff spot-checks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Delivery & Development:
- Induction Training: Lead the delivery of accredited induction standards for all new community care and office personnel.
- Continuing Professional Development (CPD): Facilitate ongoing educational sessions and specific training to meet contractual and development needs.
- Course Design: Assist in the creation, evaluation, and updating of course materials to ensure they remain engaging and effective.
- Specialised Training: Deliver bespoke training modules and competencies to meet workforce development goals.
- Information Dissemination: Act as a central point of reference for staff training support, ensuring all teams are updated on legislative changes (e.g., Department of Health guidance).
- Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Field Monitoring: Conduct spot checks and quality monitoring to ensure care delivery aligns with company Aims and Objectives.
- Risk Management: Carry out Health and Safety risk assessments in accordance with current legislation and company policy.
- Standard Setting: Role model a person-centered approach and high staff engagement in every interaction.
- Staff Supervision & Performance:
- Probationary Support: Conduct supervision visits for staff during their probationary periods and participate in final review meetings.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with HR and Line Managers to recognise high-performing staff and address under-performance through training interventions.
- Operational Support: Provide rota cover when required to ensure business continuity and service stability.
Candidate Requirements:
- Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel between branches as required.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of healthcare legislation, DOH recommendations, and domiciliary care standards.
- Facilitation Skills: Proven ability to deliver high-quality, effective training to diverse groups.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for role modelling care standards and engaging with staff at all levels.
- QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or above.
- Previous experience of training in health care.
- Registered with the NI Social Care Council (NISCC) and/or registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Provides evidence of past personal and professional development.
- Provides evidence of knowledge of quality assurance systems and RQIA minimum standards.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
- High standard of accuracy.
- Flexible in working hours to respond to business needs.
- QCF Level 4/5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
