Big Chief Hire in Bradfeld is seeking someone to fill a hands-on role where you’ll spend the majority of your time on-site, servicing and repairing earthmoving and heavy machinery at client locations across NSW.

What You Will Do

  • Travel to sites to service, maintain, and repair plant and machinery, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in the field
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure machinery meets operational standards
  • Maintain accurate service records and document repairs thoroughly
  • Work independently while supporting the Big Chief team
  • Work professionally with customers, ensuring they receive professional service delivery at all times

What You Will Bring

  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Plant & Machinery, or similar qualification
  • 1–3+ years of hands-on experience with heavy machinery or field service work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Valid driver’s licence (HR licence or higher preferred)
  • Ability to work independently, travel to sites, and thrive in a field-based environment
  • Safety-first mindset with commitment to OH&S compliance
