They are looking for a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead electrical estimating across a strong, varied pipeline of residential and commercial projects. \n This is a senior role with real ownership. You'll take electrical tenders from enquiry through to handover and work closely with the directors and operations team. Mechanical estimating experience would be a real advantage, as the business also delivers HVAC and renewable work. \n What's on offer \n \n £55,000 – £80,000 depending on experience \n Standard holiday plus bank holidays \n Pension \n 8 - 4:30 \n A senior role in a growing business with clear scope to shape the estimating function \n \n Key responsibilities \n \n Lead the electrical estimating function, owning tenders from enquiry to submission \n Prepare accurate, competitive estimates for residential and commercial projects \n Carry out take-offs and quantity measurements from drawings, specifications and schedules \n Review tender documents and identify risks, exclusions, clarifications and value-engineering opportunities \n Obtain, compare and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations \n Build up labour, plant and material rates and keep pricing databases current \n Attend client meetings, tender interviews and site visits \n Support mechanical estimating where your experience allows \n Prepare clear handover packs for the delivery team on successful bids \n Help shape estimating processes and mentor junior estimators as the team grows \n \n About you \n Essential: \n \n Significant experience as an Electrical Estimator within an M&E or electrical contractor, ideally at senior level \n Strong technical knowledge of LV power, lighting, containment, fire alarm, small power and associated systems \n Expert at reading drawings and specifications and producing accurate take-offs \n Good understanding of BS 7671 and current industry standards \n Strong commercial awareness, with a track record of winning work at healthy margins \n Confident with Excel and estimating software \n Able to manage several tenders at once and meet tight deadlines \n \n Desirable: \n \n Mechanical estimating experience (HVAC, plumbing, heat pumps or renewables) \n A background as a qualified electrician, or an HNC/HND/degree in electrical or building services engineering \n Experience across both residential developments and commercial projects \n Full UK driving licence \n \n How to apply \n Click “Apply” to send your CV, or contact [your name] at [agency name] on [phone/email] for a confidential conversation. \n \n JBRP1_UKTJ
