Northcote, a prestigious country house hotel nestled in the picturesque Ribble Valley, is renowned for its Michelin-starred dining and exceptional hospitality. Following its recent acquisition by The Ellis family, we are embarking on an exciting period of growth, including the development of a brand-new restaurant and further enhancements to our guest experience.
We are seeking a highly creative and passionate Cocktail Bar Manager to lead our beverage program across our elegant lounges and terrace. This is a unique opportunity to craft innovative cocktail menus, lead a talented bar team, and contribute to the high-end hospitality synonymous with a Michelin-starred environment. You will also play a key role in supporting the hotel management team in delivering an unparalleled beverage, cocktail, and bar service.
As a Cocktail Bar Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Creative Menu Development: Designing and implementing innovative and seasonally inspired cocktail menus that reflect the standards of a Michelin-starred establishment and appeal to a discerning clientele.
- Team Leadership: Leading, training, and inspiring the bar team to deliver exceptional hospitality and consistently high standards of beverage preparation and service.
- Beverage Program Management: Overseeing all aspects of the bar operation, including inventory management, stock control, supplier relationships, and cost optimization.
- Exceptional Service Delivery: Ensuring that all guests in the lounges and terrace receive a warm welcome, attentive service, and expertly crafted beverages.
- Supporting Hotel Management: Collaborating with the hotel management team to ensure seamless beverage service across all outlets, including private dining and events.
- Maintaining Standards: Upholding the highest standards of hygiene, presentation, and service within the bar areas.
- Training and Development: Continuously developing the knowledge and skills of the bar team in cocktail techniques, product knowledge, and customer service.
- Contributing to the Guest Experience: Creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere in the lounges and terrace, enhancing the overall guest experience.
- Staying Ahead of Trends: Keeping abreast of the latest cocktail trends, techniques, and ingredients.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience as a Mixologist or Senior Bartender in a high-end hospitality environment, ideally within a Michelin-starred or equivalent setting.
- Exceptional creativity in cocktail menu development, with a strong understanding of flavour profiles and ingredient pairings.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Comprehensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktail techniques.
