Northbrook College, part of the Chichester College Group, is seeking a College Community Support Officer (Ref: NBK3400) to provide essential support services across the College campus.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first responder to incidents across the College site.
- Assist Managers and College staff in applying collaborative problem‑solving and restorative justice techniques.
- Act as Safeguarding Officer for assigned cases, working with the Safeguarding team to gather evidence and manage disclosures in line with college policy.
- Implement de‑escalation methods to address challenging behaviour among students and vulnerable adults.
- Support strategies that promote social cohesion, integration, and positive student engagement.
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English Language, or equivalent, at Grade 4/C or above.
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (Coaching, Health and Social Care, Youth Work, or similar).
- Experience working with 14‑19‑year‑olds and vulnerable adults, including those with challenging behaviour.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults policies, Prevent, and the Equality Act 2010.
