We’re working with a well-established food manufacturing business in East Yorkshire to recruit an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager. This is a pivotal site-based role, reporting directly into the Site Director, with the opportunity to make a real impact on performance, culture, and operational excellence.
The Role
As Continuous Improvement Manager, you will lead and deliver the site’s CI strategy, embedding lean manufacturing principles and driving a culture of continuous improvement across all functions. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you’ll identify improvement opportunities, lead projects, and coach teams to deliver sustainable change.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy the site Continuous Improvement roadmap aligned to business objectives
- Lead lean initiatives including waste reduction, process optimisation, and efficiency improvement
- Facilitate CI tools and methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, problem-solving)
- Coach and train teams at all levels to embed CI capability and mindset
- Track, measure, and report CI performance and benefits
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver cross-functional improvements
- Support cultural change and employee engagement across the site
About You
- Proven experience in a Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence role within food manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of Lean and CI methodologies
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and shopfloor teams alike
- Data-driven, structured, and results-focused
- Hands-on approach with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
