We are recruiting on behalf of one of our valued clients in the food manufacturing sector.
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Hygiene Manager to lead daily hygiene standards across their modern food manufacturing facility. This is a day-based role responsible for managing hygiene compliance, cleaning standards, and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage hygiene teams on site (day-to-day coordination and standards delivery).
- Ensure full compliance with BRCGS, retailer, legislative and internal hygiene requirements.
- Own and continuously improve hygiene systems, cleaning schedules, and validation/verification.
- Manage chemical use, training, COSHH compliance and hygiene documentation.
- Support micro, quality and technical teams with investigations, trend data and RCA.
- Ensure hygiene planning supports production, turnaround times and Right-First-Time standards.
- Work in partnership with the Technical Manager to deliver strong Food Safety standards (not technical leadership).
- Influence culture and behaviour, driving improvements in GMP and hygiene mindset across site.
About You
- Proven experience in a Hygiene leadership role within food manufacturing.
- Strong working knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, COSHH, chemicals, and cleaning validation.
- Confident in leading teams, coaching performance and improving standards.
- Able to communicate hygiene expectations clearly across departments.
- Analytical, well-organised, and motivated by continuous improvement.
- Able to influence without direct technical accountability.
