North Northamptonshire Council is looking for a Social Care professional with a passion to work alongside people in our community to help them live their best life. Using a strengths-based approach, we utilise the Three Conversations model which allows people to tell us what is important and really matters to them, giving us the opportunity to find connections and resources that can help them to live the way they want to, either with support or independently.
We have a part-time role available in Kettering in our Adult Social Care Community Hubs. Also known as the Front Door, the teams receive all new Adult Social Care referrals (excluding Learning Disabilities), from individuals themselves, family, friends and professionals, where the support required could range from signposting to local services, to completing a Care Act Assessment and designing a Care and Support Plan. Each team is located within the locality itself so that we are closer to the people we are supporting.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified and registered Social Worker (including newly qualified)
- Exercises professional curiosity rather than accept things at face value or make decisions based on assumptions
- Demonstrates problem solving abilities, working alongside people to enable them to find their own solutions
- Has a real commitment to identifying and promoting people’s strengths, hopes and aspirations
If you are a qualified and registered Social Worker (including newly qualified) who meets these core values, and are committed to continuous professional development, we would love to hear from you. For an informal discussion about the roles we have available, please contact a Principal in the Kettering Adult Social Care Team on 01536 805030.
