Our Day Centre Officers enable our customers to plan, develop and grow to achieve their goals, maximising potential and raising aspirations. Networking with external agencies, including employers, is a crucial part of this role to ensure our customers have both choice and chance in all aspects of learning, independence, volunteering, and employment. A key worker, advocate, and champion for employment for all is what makes a DCO within the LIVE team. You will promote our service positively, highlighting strengths and outcomes whilst providing guidance and encouragement. Supporting and developing our wider team, including supervising and supporting staff, with equal focus on your personal skill development and training needs is essential, as is contributing to a positive and productive workspace for our customers and team to flourish within.
You will be supporting our customers to reach their full potential, work towards, and achieve their learning, independence, volunteering, and employment goals. You will supervise a team of Community Enablement Workers, creating a productive and empowered workplace with our customers at the heart of everything we do.
You will be a confident communicator able to dynamically risk assess. You will champion employment for all with focus on what people can do, creating choice and chance for our customers and demonstrating a strength-based approach. Your values will reflect ours and customer focus, efficiency, respect, trust, and support will be reflected in all aspects of your approach and delivery. You will be confident with IT and able to undertake administrative elements of the role, which includes risk assessments, and deliver with accuracy and to deadline.
