What You’ll Do
- Lead recruitment delivery aligned with strategic workforce planning for Police.
- Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to meet future workforce needs.
- Provide expert advice to senior leadership on resourcing and selection.
- Ensure compliance with employment law, best practices, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with national partners and stakeholders to drive best practice and innovation.
- Lead and develop the Recruiting and Talent Acquisition Officer.
What We’re Looking For
- Chartered CIPD membership (or working towards it) or equivalent senior resourcing experience.
- Proven track record in strategic resourcing and workforce planning.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and recruitment compliance.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in budget management and business continuity.
- Desirable: Public service resourcing experience and knowledge of Police Regulations.

Recruitment and Selection Policy

Individuals placed on the Police Barred and Advisory lists will not be considered for employment for a minimum of 5 years from the date of listing in the case of gross misconduct, or 3 years from the date of listing in the case of poor performance.
