We have flexible opportunities across the Northamptonshire estates for Domestic Technicians, for either full-time or part-time positions. Flexible hours are available. We need individuals to ensure premises, including offices, custody suites, training facilities and communal areas, are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene, contributing to a safe and professional working environment. You will play an important role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and all building users.

Vacancies:

  • Vacancy 1 – 22 hours a week – Monday – Friday - late afternoon/early evening
  • Vacancy 2 – 6 hours Saturday and Sunday – 3 hours each day Wooton Hall
  • Vacancy 3 – 6 hours Saturday and Sunday – 3 hours each day Northampton Area
  • Vacancy 4 – 14 hours – weekdays Daventry/Towcester/Brackley Area
  • Vacancy 5 – 20 hours weekday

Recruitment and Selection Policy

Internal applicants who are at risk of redundancy or in need of redeployment and pass the selection process, will be offered the role over the remaining internal and external applicants. Internal applicants must have line manager support prior to proceeding with an application.

Please be aware that the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service and Northamptonshire Police are separate employers. Although vacancies are open to all, if you are successful, the change of employer will require a longer onboarding process and you will receive a new contract and payroll number. Service with either employer can be carried over as continuous service.

Police Barred and Advisory lists

Individuals placed on the Police Barred and Advisory lists will not be considered for employment for a minimum of 5 years from the date of listing in the case of gross misconduct, or 3 years from the date of listing in the case of poor performance.
