We are seeking a highly skilled administrator with experience of working with Board Members to join the CEO and Chairs office in a key governance support role.
This position provides comprehensive, high-level administrative support to the Chair, Deputy Chairs and Non-Executive Directors (NEDs). You will manage the administrative workflow within the Chair’s office, ensuring deadlines are met and needs are addressed.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Chair, Deputy Chairs and NEDs, including diary and email management, meeting administration, report writing, minute-taking, and action tracking.
- Manage the administrative workflow in the Chair’s office and liaise with wider Corporate Governance teams across two Trusts.
- Be the first point of contact for the Chair and NEDs, facilitating effective communications and stakeholder engagement.
- Support governance processes and contribute to a positive work culture through emotional intelligence and professional interpersonal skills.
- Travel between venues across Northants and Leicestershire with flexible working considerations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in Personal Assistant/Executive Assistant/Board support roles at an executive level.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Demonstrated self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, active listening, and ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Ability to adapt to change and collaborate effectively within a team.

NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in hospital, community, and outreach settings, including services to prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
