Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) are looking for an experienced, dynamic and self-motivated Pharmacist to join our team as Advanced Pharmacist Medicines Optimisation and Governance.
Responsibilities
- Be the pharmacy lead within the Medicines Management Committee and coordinate the Committee’s work plan; ensure Medicines Management Policies, Guidelines and Protocols are reviewed and updated in a timely, robust manner reflecting current national guidance and evidence-based best practice.
- Ensure associated assurance monitoring is undertaken and submitted to the committee to demonstrate compliance and effectiveness of medicines management documents.
- Deliver medicines management related projects to advance the medicines management strategy and medicines optimisation agenda.
- Lead for Patient Group Directions (PGDs), ensuring National Standards and NICE guidance are met.
- Lead medicine-related audits, including POMH and other national audits, in addition to internal trust audits.
- Act as the AMaT superuser for the pharmacy department.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Experienced, dynamic and self-motivated Pharmacist.
- Experience in a variety of settings (e.g., primary care, secondary care, community, and/or health and justice) and/or leadership roles is desirable.
- Appropriate registration and ongoing professional development in line with Pharmacy regulations.
