Essential criteria

  • Registered with GPhC as a Pharmacist
  • Evidence of recent continuing professional development
  • MPharm degree, or equivalent pharmacy qualification
  • Post-graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy (or equivalent level of knowledge and experience

Desirable criteria

  • Member of Royal Pharmaceutical Society

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Post registration experience within the NHS care setting
  • Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience of data collection, analysis and report writing. This will include analytical and problem-solving skills, interpretation of a range of options and assessment of data reports.
  • Experience of teaching, mentoring and tutoring
  • Experience of engaging and communicating effectively with people at all levels. Able to build constructive relationships with good communication skills.
  • Understanding of medicines management processes and experience of developing and implementing medicines management policies and procedures
  • Experience of planning, implementing, analysing, reporting and changing practice through audit

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of current national quality and patient safety improvement priorities relevant to medicines
  • Management qualification relevant to the NHS
  • Experience in variety of settings (e.g. primary care/secondary/ community/ health and justice) and/ or leadership role.
