The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The post will mostly focus on inpatients and you will work with the paediatric MDT and have support from the paediatric outpatient and home enteral feeding dietetic team. You will also work closely with the community paediatric team and input into this part of the countywide paediatric service too. This is a great opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in paediatrics and to determine if you are more of an acute or community paediatric dietitian going forward., The role involves:
o Providing dietetic assessment, advice, treatment and counselling to support behavioural change in children and their families/carers through one to one interviews, group sessions, structured education.
o Autonomously managing a complex caseload and work with children and their carers to agree patient centred care
o Working collaboratively with the wider multi- disciplinary health care team to ensure delivery of coordinated care and to provide specialist advice and attend case conferences, network meetings as appropriate.
o Evaluating patients’ progress and contribute to and implement service improvement work
o Using a range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with patients to implement treatment plans.
o Providing advice and training to patients, carers, colleagues and other healthcare professionals to promote an understanding of the aims of dietetic treatment to ensure a consistent approach to patient care.
