Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is seeking a Deputy Head of Healthcare for HMP Whitemoor, a Category A male prison located in Cambridgeshire. The healthcare services are delivered from a modern, well-equipped healthcare centre by a multi-disciplinary team.

Main duties of the job:

  • Provide leadership for a designated team, including the implementation of systems and processes that support service delivery and staff.
  • Facilitate the dissemination and implementation of policies to ensure governance is embedded within the team.
  • Provide line management and clinical leadership within the team.
  • Support the introduction and development of new practices to implement key strategic priorities.
  • Ensure clinicians achieve commissioning targets and develop, implement, and evaluate service improvement plans.
  • In conjunction with clinical leads, ensure consistent and high standards of care delivery.
  • Establish a regular audit schedule and ensure Health and Safety compliance.
