Main duties:

  • This role leads the provision of psychological interventions and provides input from a psychological perspective to individuals in prison with substance misuse issues.
  • It includes supervising and overseeing the work of Assistant Psychologists and working closely with a multidisciplinary team of nursing staff, prison staff and other wellbeing-focused organisations.
  • The post holder will develop trauma-informed practice using up-to-date research and contribute to building an evidence base.
