At Northamptonshire Domestic Abuse Service (NDAS), our mission is to empower and support survivors of domestic abuse. As a Trustee, you’ll play a vital role in shaping our strategy, safeguarding our future, and ensuring we continue delivering life-changing services for those who need them most.
What Trustees Do
- Help set the charity’s vision, mission, and strategy.
- Oversee performance and ensure good governance.
- Safeguard NDAS’s finances, reputation, and assets.
- Support and challenge our CEO to deliver the best possible services.
- Ensure NDAS complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.

What matters most is your commitment to supporting survivors of domestic abuse, and your willingness to contribute your time, skills, and passion.
Commitment
Board meetings: every 2 months, Wednesday evenings (6:30–8:30pm), alternating between Wollaston office and online. Development sessions: 3–4 per year, sometimes evenings/weekends. Occasional sub-committee or task group involvement. Trustees are expected to attend meetings regularly, but NDAS supports Trustees through sabbaticals if unexpected circumstances arise.
