An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join our Fostering Service as a Fostering Panel Administrator. In this role, you will become a key part of the business support function that underpins the vital work of our fostering panel. Based at One Angel Square, you will support the administrative processes that ensure the smooth running of the fostering panel. From preparing paperwork for panel members to communicating decisions to foster carers, you will play a central part in supporting life-changing outcomes for children and young people.

You will provide high quality, confidential administrative support to the fostering panel and wider fostering service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating panel paperwork, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete and shared with panel members and the Agency Decision Maker.
  • Attending fostering panel meetings and taking clear, accurate and timely minutes.
  • Supporting the monitoring of communications, inboxes and SharePoint processes.
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure the consistent delivery of service priorities.
  • Assisting with the induction of new staff by supporting training on local and corporate systems.
  • Helping track cases, allocations, and performance data for the Fostering Management Team.
  • Upholding safeguarding responsibilities, confidentiality and data protection at all times.
  • Maintaining an organised, calm and adaptable approach in a busy environment.

You have excellent attention to detail, especially when minute taking and coordinating sensitive paperwork. You confidently prioritise your workload in a fast-paced, high-performing environment. Using your initiative to solve problems, you support colleagues and keep processes moving smoothly. You demonstrate confident working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, as well as general IT systems. Working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, you build strong professional relationships. You understand the importance of confidentiality, data protection and safeguarding in every aspect of your work.
