What will you be doing?
All NQSWs will undertake the ASYE, a structured program to help you transition into your role with mentorship, training, and skill-building opportunities.
- Manage a caseload of children and young people requiring social work support
- Work alongside experienced social workers on complex cases
- Conduct assessments, visit children and families, and carry out direct work
- Develop and review care plans prioritising children’s best interests
About you
To join our ASYE program as an NQSW, you must be:
- Degree-qualified in Social Work (undergraduate or postgraduate)
- In your final year of study, awaiting results, or recently qualified
- Passionate about improving children and families\’ lives
- Able to work under pressure with strong organisational skills
- In the process of obtaining your Social Work England registration
- Able to drive and have access to a vehicle or actively learning to do so
- Have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
- Able to speak fluent English
- Enhanced DBS clearance and SW England registration required
