Daventry Dem Cafe are looking for volunteers!
We need enthusiastic people to join our friendly team of volunteers at Dem Cafe.
The role involves setting up the room at Daventry Methodist Church, preparing teas, coffees, and refreshments for participants, welcoming participants and their carers, and tidying up after the group session.
Group meetings are held twice a month between 1pm and 3pm on the 2nd Tuesday and 4th Tuesday of the month.
This role may require a DBS (formerly criminal record check), which the charity will arrange.
Skills
- An understanding of dementia
- A kind, helpful, and caring nature
- The ability to chat easily with people
- The ability to empathise with carers
- The ability to help with setting up and tidying equipment such as tables and chairs
