This vacancy provides the opportunity for a well-qualified, inspirational teacher of Science (specialism Biology to A Level; Chemistry and Physics to at least GCSE would be beneficial), to teach across the Senior School, with a unified science course at Year 7-8 and individual science subjects from Year 9, including specialism to A Level, medical pathways support and possibly Oxbridge entrance.

What skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:

• Well-qualified graduate with a passion for teaching and excellent subject knowledge of Science teaching across the main disciplines with a focus on Biology.
• Strong understanding of the curriculum and a commitment to continuing professional development.
• Efficient and organised.
• Excellent communicator who can enthuse and inspire both pupils and colleagues.
• Exciting ideas about Science teaching and the ways in which Biology can be further developed and encouraged across the whole school and within the GDST.
• Help develop engaging schemes of work, support the programme of trips and visits, assist with university preparation, including for medicine-related courses, and be committed to supporting the vibrant extracurricular life of the school.
