To support colleagues within the Supplies Department, delivering and ensuring that departments within the Trust receive their goods in a timely manner, adhering to trust values.

Maintaining a clean and safe work environment highlighting any known health and safety issues to the relevant department or management.

Operate delivery systems with a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) to ensure point of delivery is captured.

Ensure delivery of items are complete and on a timely basis.

Support colleagues to investigate and resolve discrepancies of goods received against point of delivery, communicating with colleagues in Supplies and clinical departments throughout the trust.

Support colleagues within the team to fulfil the department's duties.

Assist areas within the stores department when required.

Responsible for transporting goods to their destination and ensure empty roll cages are returned to the Supplies Department, rubbish emptied into appropriate recycling bins and broken down ready for collection by NHS Supply Chain. When necessary, assist in offloading deliveries, obtaining signatures from customers when required.

Ensure the Supplies Department is kept tidy and maintained to agreed standards.

Support the team in dealing with delivery issues, developing and initiating resolutions to problems.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with end-users, colleagues within Procurement and Supplies.

Co-ordinate operational activity with colleagues and management to ensure continuity of service in preparation for authorised leave within the team. In the event of unexpected leave, work with colleagues and management to ensure appropriate cover is in place so the service is not disrupted, on occasions this may extend within the department.
