Join to apply for the Senior Clinical Fellow in Head & Neck and Laryngology role at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. There is an opportunity for a motivated individual to join the ENT department at University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Northampton General Hospital). The ENT Department works across two sites: Kettering General Hospital and Northampton General Hospital.
This Fellowship provides an excellent opportunity to work within a high-volume regional university teaching hospital with a multidisciplinary focus. Our aim is to provide comprehensive training in the surgical management of a wide range of Head & Neck and laryngology conditions. The fellowship offers exposure to the medical and surgical management of malignant and benign Head and Neck cases, which includes Robotic surgery. The other aspect of the fellowship includes exposure to a large volume of Voice, Airway and Swallow pathologies. Outpatient commitments include specialist Head and Neck, laryngology and thyroid clinics. The candidate will undertake voice clinics with a speech and language therapist to support.
KGH offers office procedures under local anaesthesia where the candidate will be trained to perform laryngeal injections, balloon dilation and ablation surgery with Blue laser. We specialise in state-of-the-art VOIS Thyroplasty and are set up to begin Laryngeal reinnervation surgeries in September 2025. Robotic surgeries are performed at NGH on a fortnightly basis and the candidate will also get an opportunity to gain experience in it.
