We are working with a lovely local primary school who are looking for an experienced EYFS teacher to work in their small SEN unit. The role is a very rewarding position and the school is very supportive. The unit has approximately 10 students with a variety of additional needs so someone with experience would suit this position. The role is for the summer term and is full time.
In this role, you will:
- Create and deliver engaging lessons to meet the needs of the pupils' individual needs
- Have a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Develop relationships with students, staff and parents to best support the students
- Monitor progress and milestones
- Build strong foundations in early literacy, numeracy and communication
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A genuine passion for Early Years education
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
- Experience working with SEN pupils with varying needs
- A collaborative approach and willingness to share ideas
- DBS / willingness to apply for one
