Job Role & Responsibilities:

  • Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer working night shifts, responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical systems within a clean food production environment.
  • Reporting into an Engineering Supervisor, the role focuses on ensuring minimal downtime of automated production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical fault finding, diagnostics, repair and installation.
  • Wiring and maintenance of control panels, inverters, sensors and three-phase systems.
  • Mechanical maintenance including bearings, gearboxes, pumps and valves.
  • Planned and reactive maintenance on automated conveyors and associated processing machinery.
  • Supporting continuous operation of slicing, wrapping and labelling equipment.
  • Working effectively under pressure within a small shift team.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Strong electrical bias with proven hands‑on fault‑finding ability.
  • Mechanical maintenance experience in a production environment.
  • Background in FMCG or food manufacturing.
  • Experience working with automated conveyor systems.
  • Ability to work night shifts (Sunday to Thursday, 9pm–6am).
  • Confidence working as part of a two‑person shift team.

Desirable Skills:

  • Recognised apprenticeship or relevant electrical qualification.
  • Experience with control panels and automation equipment.
  • Familiarity with clean food production environments.
