Job Role & Responsibilities:
- Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer working night shifts, responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical systems within a clean food production environment.
- Reporting into an Engineering Supervisor, the role focuses on ensuring minimal downtime of automated production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical fault finding, diagnostics, repair and installation.
- Wiring and maintenance of control panels, inverters, sensors and three-phase systems.
- Mechanical maintenance including bearings, gearboxes, pumps and valves.
- Planned and reactive maintenance on automated conveyors and associated processing machinery.
- Supporting continuous operation of slicing, wrapping and labelling equipment.
- Working effectively under pressure within a small shift team.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Strong electrical bias with proven hands‑on fault‑finding ability.
- Mechanical maintenance experience in a production environment.
- Background in FMCG or food manufacturing.
- Experience working with automated conveyor systems.
- Ability to work night shifts (Sunday to Thursday, 9pm–6am).
- Confidence working as part of a two‑person shift team.
Desirable Skills:
- Recognised apprenticeship or relevant electrical qualification.
- Experience with control panels and automation equipment.
- Familiarity with clean food production environments.
