Industry Placement Coordinator — Animal Welfare

About the Role Are you passionate about animal welfare and skilled in building relationships? We are recruiting an Industry Placement Coordinator to work with staff, students, and local employers to secure high‑quality work placements for T‑level students specialising in animal welfare and the veterinary sector.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring learners have safe, meaningful, relevant placements, developing relationships with employers locally, and supporting student preparation, induction, and monitoring of placements.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers (especially in animal welfare / veterinary sectors) to create placement opportunities.
- Liaise with curriculum teams and students to match placements to learning objectives.
- Ensure health, safety, and safeguarding standards are met in placement settings.
- Prepare students (risk assessments, inductions, documentation) for placement.
- Monitor student progress, conduct site visits, review diaries/workbooks.
- Act as a point of contact for students, employers, and staff during placement.
- Support with administration, record‑keeping, and reporting.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in outbound B2B sales, account management or employer engagement.
- Comfortable liaising with varied stakeholders (students, businesses, academic teams).
- Basic knowledge or willingness to learn health & safety and safeguarding requirements for workplaces.
- Confident communicator and relationship builder.
- Strong organisational, administrative, and record‑keeping skills.
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel locally is desirable.
- Educated to degree or equivalent (or demonstrable experience).
